Description
Deliciously crispy chicken wings made in the air fryer, tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound bone-in, skin-on chicken wing portions (thawed if frozen)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup Frank’s RedHot Sauce (or another hot sauce)
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Add the chicken wing portions, flour, garlic powder, and salt to a large bowl and toss to combine.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray (or brush it with olive oil) and add the chicken wings in a single layer. Try not to overcrowd the basket or they won’t get crispy.
- Spray the top of the wings with olive oil spray and cook for 8 minutes at 400°F.
- Flip over the chicken wings and cook for an additional 8 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer and set them aside while you make the sauce.
- In a small microwave safe bowl, combine the hot sauce, honey, and butter.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Whisk to combine. If the butter is not fully melted, heat for an additional 30 seconds.
- Pour the sauce over the wings and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, consider marinating the wings in the flour mixture for an hour before cooking.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce according to your preferred spice level.
