Baked Feta Pasta

Description

A delicious baked feta pasta dish with grape tomatoes and basil.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups grape tomatoes, washed and dried
  • 1 (8 oz) brick of feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • 12 oz bow tie pasta, cooked and drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Add tomatoes to a baking dish and pat dry.
  3. Place feta cheese in the center of the tomatoes.
  4. Drizzle 3 tablespoons of olive oil over the tomatoes and cheese.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and salt over the top.
  6. Drizzle 2 more tablespoons of olive oil.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until tomatoes burst and cheese softens.
  8. Stir the cheese and tomatoes until combined.
  9. Add chopped basil and mix until cohesive.
  10. Mix in the cooked pasta and toss well.
  11. Serve hot, garnishing with extra basil if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using heirloom tomatoes.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
