Description

Deliciously chewy Cocoa Rice Krispies treats made with mini marshmallows and butter.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 14 ounces mini marshmallows (or 4 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Cocoa Rice Krispies Cereal

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven pot over medium heat, add the butter. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are almost completely melted.
  2. Turn the heat off and stir in the vanilla extract. Add the Cocoa Rice Krispies and mix gently using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until combined.
  3. Transfer the cereal mixture into a lightly buttered 9″ x 13″ baking dish. Using the back of a spoon, spread the mixture evenly into the dish, then either wet or spray your hands with nonstick cooking spray and pat down the Rice Krispies treats.
  4. Cool for about 20 minutes, or until they hold their shape, then cut into 3″ squares. Enjoy!

  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of salt or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
