Description
Deliciously soft and gooey cinnamon cream cheese rolls that are perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf white bread, crusts removed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread:
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin to make it easier to roll.
- Make the Filling:
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Assemble the Rolls:
Spread about one tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened slice of bread. Roll up each slice tightly, pressing the seam slightly to seal.
- Coat the Rolls:
In a shallow dish, combine the remaining sugar with ground cinnamon. Brush each roll with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Bake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- Variation: Add a few tablespoons of chopped nuts or raisins to the cream cheese mixture for added texture and flavor.
- Storage: If any rolls are left over, store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp texture.
- Serving Suggestion: Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
