Description

Deliciously soft and gooey cinnamon cream cheese rolls that are perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf white bread, crusts removed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread:

Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin to make it easier to roll.

  2. Make the Filling:

In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup of the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

  3. Assemble the Rolls:

Spread about one tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened slice of bread. Roll up each slice tightly, pressing the seam slightly to seal.

  4. Coat the Rolls:

In a shallow dish, combine the remaining sugar with ground cinnamon. Brush each roll with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

  5. Bake:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • Variation: Add a few tablespoons of chopped nuts or raisins to the cream cheese mixture for added texture and flavor.
  • Storage: If any rolls are left over, store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp texture.
  • Serving Suggestion: Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
