- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter

- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes (for a hint of heat)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring occasionally, and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Gradually add the Parmesan cheese to the cream, stirring continuously until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
- Mix Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce.
- Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
- Serve:
- Divide the pasta into serving bowls.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Optional: Top with a pinch of red pepper flakes for added flavor.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms to the pasta.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best taste and texture.
- Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more or less pasta water.
- For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with milk.
