Instructions
- Prepare the Peas: If using fresh peas, briefly blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and cool. If using frozen peas, simply thaw them.
- Mix the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth.
- Combine the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the peas, diced cheddar cheese, and diced ham. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients.
- Toss the Salad: Gently toss all the ingredients until they are evenly coated with the dressing.
- Season: Add salt and pepper to taste, mixing it gently into the salad.
- Chill: Cover the salad and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

- For extra flavor, add a tablespoon of chopped fresh dill or chives.
- To enhance the creaminess, you can add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt to the dressing.
