Description

This rich and creamy Decadent Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake blends classic flavors with a modern twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 cup chocolate graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 810 Oreo cookies, chopped
  • Chocolate ganache (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). In a medium bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies and chocolate graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23cm) springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and sour cream, mixing well. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition just until blended. Gently fold in the melted chocolate. Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust. Sprinkle with chopped Oreos, then cover with the remaining batter.
  3. Baking:
Wrap the bottom of the pan with aluminum foil and place it in a water bath. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set and just slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Prepare the Topping:
Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cheesecake. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate ganache and top with additional chopped Oreos.

Notes

  • Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter.
  • For best results, chill the cheesecake overnight to allow flavors to fully develop.
  • Use a hot knife to slice for clean and neat servings.
  • To enhance flavor, consider adding a splash of coffee to the melted chocolate.
