Description
A delicious grilled cheese sandwich featuring double layers of crispy bacon, melted cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 slices thick bread (e.g., sourdough or brioche)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Bacon: Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Prepare the Bread: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Spread the butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of two bread slices. Layer with crispy bacon. Add a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the bacon. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side out.
- Cook the Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from skillet and let the sandwiches cool slightly. Cut in half and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can mix mayonnaise with the butter for a creamier spread on the bread.
- Experiment with different types of cheese for a flavor variation.
- To enhance the taste, add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to the cheese before sealing the sandwich.
- For a spicy twist, consider adding jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce inside the sandwich.
