- 1/2 teaspoon blue food coloring
- 6 lollipop sticks
- Edible blue glitter or sprinkles

- A pinch of cream of tartar (optional, for smoothness)
Instructions
- Prepare Apples:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the apples to remove any waxy coating.
- Insert a lollipop stick firmly into each apple at the stem end.
- Set Up:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Make Candy Coating:
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and corn syrup.
- Stir over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
- Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil without stirring.
- Attach a candy thermometer to the pan and continue heating until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Color and Flavor:
- Once the correct temperature is reached, remove the pan from heat.
- Quickly stir in the blue food coloring and vanilla extract, if using.
- Coat the Apples:
- Tilt the saucepan slightly and dip each apple into the candy mixture, turning it to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the edible blue glitter or sprinkles over the coated apples while they are still wet.
- Place each coated apple on the prepared baking sheet to cool and harden.
