Description
A delicious and healthy pizza alternative using cottage cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cottage cheese (Good Culture preferred for thickness)
- 3 eggs (room temperature for better binding)
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (McCormick recommended for the best herb balance)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper (freshly cracked works best)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13 inch baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Blend until smooth and free of lumps.
- Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is light golden and the crust is firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before adding toppings.
- Add your favorite pizza toppings and return to the oven for 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts and toppings are warm.
- Let the pizza cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- The cottage cheese used can affect the thickness of the crust, so choose a good quality brand.
- Room temperature eggs help in better binding of the mixture.
