Description

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 5 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar (or honey)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add 14 ounces diced tomatoes, 5 ounces tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon dried oregano, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon light brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper to a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse 15-16 times or until the mixture turns smooth and uniform without any visible tomato chunks.
  3. Place the sauce in a lidded jar and store it in the fridge until ready to use.
