Description

A delicious and hearty cheesy beef pasta bake that the whole family will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes (fire-roasted preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian herbs to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil water in a large pot and cook the elbow macaroni until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until fully cooked; add minced garlic and diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together milk and cheddar cheese until smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture and pour in the cheese sauce; mix until evenly coated.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with extra cheese if desired, and bake for about 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
