Description

Delicious homemade pizzelle cookies, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat and grease your pizzelle iron if needed.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the butter with sugar and whisk until combined.
  3. Add in the eggs and extract if using and whisk again until well combined.
  4. Add flour and baking powder, and stir until just combined.
  5. Drop 1 heaping tbsp of batter onto the iron for each pizzelle cookie, and cook for 60-90 seconds or until done (when it stops steaming, it means your cookies are done).
  6. Remove onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

  • Note 1: The vanilla extract is optional but recommended for flavor.
