Ingredients

  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsulfured molasses
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time followed by molasses; mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually fold in dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
