Instructions
- Prepare the Apple Mixture:
In a medium bowl, toss the diced apples with a tablespoon of flour. Set aside. - Make the Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and sugar.
In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter until well combined.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples. - Fry the Fritter Bites:
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Carefully drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
