Description
A delicious cheesy pasta bake layered with ground beef, bacon, and plenty of cheese.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces pasta (e.g., rotini or penne)
- 1 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Bacon: In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble and set aside.
- Cook Ground Beef: In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Prepare Sauce: Add diced tomatoes to the beef mixture. Stir in heavy cream, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, beef sauce, half of the crumbled bacon, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Assemble: Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the rest of the bacon.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top before baking.
- You can add or substitute vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for more variety.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
