- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil over medium heat.
- Add sifted flour all at once, stirring vigorously until a smooth ball forms.
- Remove from heat; let cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract and ground nutmeg for flavor.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of batter onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
- Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
Notes
