Mint Simple Syrup

Description

A refreshing mint simple syrup perfect for cocktails and desserts.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup mint leaves (fresh)

Instructions

  1. Stir the sugar and water together in a pot, bring to the boil.
  2. Reduce the heat, add the mint leaves and allow the syrup to simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat, and allow to cool.
  4. Strain in a fine mesh strainer (or mesh bag) over a bowl and discard the mint leaves.
  5. Pour into a jar or bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
