Description
Delicious roasted radishes tossed with chives and finished with lemon juice for a refreshing side dish.
Ingredients

- 2 bunches radishes (about 20 radishes), halved
- 1 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Aleppo pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon butter (optional)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice (from about 1/2 lemon)
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh chives
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Trim the greens from the radishes, leaving a little tail and a tuft of green for interest. Rinse well and dry.
- In a medium oven-safe skillet, add the halved radishes, olive oil, salt, and Aleppo pepper. Toss together and place cut side down in the skillet.
- Roast the radishes in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until firm but tender.
- Remove from the oven, add the butter (if using), and toss until melted. Add the greens (if using) and toss to wilt. If needed, return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice and chives, toss again, and adjust seasoning to taste. Serve.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, adjust the amount of Aleppo pepper to your taste.
- Feel free to add other herbs or spices if desired.
