Description

A delicious and easy smash burger bowl recipe that brings together all your favorite burger toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or burger sauce
  • optional Buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add your ground beef. Season generously with salt and pepper. Allow it to cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Using a spatula, press the beef down flat to create a crispy surface (hence the “smash”!). Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
  3. While the beef is cooking, prepare your bowl ingredients. Start with a generous base of chopped lettuce.
  4. Once your beef is done, add it on top of the lettuce. Then layer in diced tomatoes, pickles, onions, and shredded cheese.
  5. Drizzle the mayonnaise or burger sauce over the top. If you’re feeling fancy, you can use a squeeze bottle for extra flair.
  6. Serve and enjoy! This dish is best enjoyed immediately, but it can easily be refrigerated for later.

Notes

  • This dish is very versatile; feel free to add or remove toppings based on your preference.
  • For a gluten-free option, skip the buns or use gluten-free buns.
