Description

Delicious homemade butter cookies that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • as needed Sprinkles or colored sugar, for decorating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
  4. Fill a cookie press with the dough and press cookies onto prepared baking sheets. Decorate with sprinkles or colored sugar if desired.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  6. Cool on wire racks.
